Larissa Warren

Larissa Warren’s work is informed, to a degree, by a heritage of family matriarchal art workers and the delicacy of intrafamilial cohesion. This is symbolised in her desire to control contrasting clays. Her vessels challenge the conventional look and feel of a functional pottery piece. A key proponent is that the majority of her vessels are slip cast with 3mm thick walls and high fired to 1280°C.
